Anna Frances Goad, 79, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Ruben Howard and Grace Clementine Hall McCraw. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by a brother, Olen McCraw; sister, Mabel Bryant; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Goad.
Mrs. Goad is survived by her husband, John (J.P.) Goad of the home; children and spouses, Donald Goad of Hillsville, Eva and Roger Easter of Hillsville, Jerry Goad of Austinville, and Tracy and Eddie Goad of Austinville; brother and sister-in-law, Carlie and Margaret McCraw of Fancy Gap; six grandchildren, Kim Padget and fiancé, Travis Rippey, Michael Easter, Kelly Goad and fiancée, Tina Mitchell, Rebecca Goad and fiancé, Tyler Royal, C.J. Goad, and Colby Goad; and three great grandchildren, Faith Padget, Nathan Easter, and Jayden Royal, brothers-in-law & spouses, Berlie & Remona Goad, Elder Rush & Anna Marie Goad.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
