That is how he spelled it.
Old spelling was Delph. German origin.
Many of his grandchildren changed it to Delp.
Today both versions exist.

Some say his parents are Father: Johann Georg Delp (1718 - 1789)
Mother: Barbara Moyer Delp (1722 - 1789)
Newest 2013 research by Laura Lee Moncrief in her Delph book does not show that.

Some show date of birth 1751.
Birth date of 3/5/1758 is from researcher Beverly Smith Harker.

Some say birth place is Grayson Cty. Va but as Peter was elsewhere before he moved to Grayson so that is doubtful.

Married Eva Reichbacher.

Moved to Grayson Cty Va. around its founding.
It was Wythe Cty Va for one year after their move.
