Married Wesley Crisler on 15 August, 1858, in Oglethorpe Co., GA. She was his second wife. Daughter of Burrel Salmons {Sammons} (b. 15 October, 1802, d. 7 June, 1892) and Amey Reid (b. 22 May, 1804, d. 22 March, 1880) Granddaughter of Lewis Salmons (b. 1776) and Mary Bobo (b. 11 November, 1777). Also granddaughter to George Reid whose wife was a Rush. Her great grandfathers Lewis Salmon and S. Lewis Bobo were Revolutionary soldiers as were her great-great grandfathers Thomas Shannon, Lewis Bobo and Charles Parks. It is said that S. Lewis Bobo was scalped by the Indians while out hunting in Georgia.

Catherine and Wesley had five children together:

- Ora Crisler - b. 28 June, 1859
- Jefferson Davis Crisler - b. 25 March, 1861
- Ervin L. Crisler - b. 7 July, 1862
- Lulia/Lula Amy Crisler b: 7 Feb 1864
- Myrtis Hannah Crisler* - b. 4 November, 1866

I found out that she remarried several years after Wesley died. She was much younger than Wesley was. Her second husband's name was E. W. Spencer. They married March 28, 1876 in Hinds County, Mississippi. I have found no record that they produced any children together and do not know where he is buried. I came by this information from a petition for relief she filed against the United States to be reimbursed for items confiscated or destroyed by the Union Army during the Civil War. She was asking for around $67,000 but ended up with only $4,000. The Crislers were a wealthy family before the Civil war.
