Services are set to honor the life of Courtney Pecos (C.P.) Holstun Jr. at 10am on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Courtney was born on December 1, 1931 to Courtney Holstun, Sr. and Ruth Hill Holstun in Roswell. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1950. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Pauline Taylor on June 9, 1951.
In 1949, Courtney enlisted and served in the Army National Guard. He was honorably discharged in 1970.

As a result of the depression, his father started a glass shop. Courtney was raised around the glass shop and installed glass for homes, cars and trucks. He worked around the shop during the day and built custom made pickup bed trailers at night. In 1967, Courtney established Diamond Auto Parts. During this time, he worked as a rural letter carrier for 24 years until his retirement.

Courtney loved to tinker with clocks and could fix or build anything. He truly was a "Jack of all Trades." Over the course of his life, he was involved in a bowling league every Friday night and coaching little league baseball. Later in his life, he enjoyed playing 42 and any occasion to be with friends and family.

Courtney was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Taylor Holstun in 2006; two grandchildren, Malcolm Courtney Holstun in 2011 and Falon Nicole Holstun Morales in 2012 and his parents.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Holstun and wife, Connie of Roswell, Bill Holstun and Judy Polidoro of Copperas Cove, Texas; two daughters, Paula Holstun-Hinson and husband, Homer of Lubbock, Texas; Susan Holstun McClure and husband, Jim of Amarillo, Texas; one grandson, Mike Holstun and Rebecca Quintero, of Roswell as well as three great grandson, Aramis Holstun, Jethro Holstun, of Germany and Tyler Holstun, of Roswell, two sisters, Karen Norris and her husband Tom; Kim Curtis and her husband Harry and one brother, Gary Holstun. Also his dear lady friend, Margaret Horton.

The family would like to the thank the Casa Maria staff, Vista Care, Gentiva Staff, especially Anita, RN; Julie Adams, and the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Staff for the great care of our dad, grandfather, and great grandfather.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials/contributions be made to "Finishing Well: The Legacy of Pauline Holstun" scholarship fund at Amarillo College, PO Box 447, Amarillo, Texas 79178.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm on Friday, July 19, 2013 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel.
