Joyce Novacinski, 77, of Barnum, died Friday, May 26, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth.
Joyce was born December 6, 1928, in Wrenshall to Theodore and Isabelle (Heller) Bergfalk.
She was a founding supporter of the Senior Citizen of Carlton County, and was involved in Meals On Wheels, The Alzheimer's Support Group, The Food Shelf, The Nutrition Center, and was a volunteer at Mercy Health Care Center and a regular visitor at Horizon Home Assisted Living. Joyce was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. She had a great love for animals, especially cats and enjoyed walks with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Webb Novacinski; 1 brother, Ted Bergfalk.
Joyce is survived by 2 daughters, Pat (Randy) Wekseth and Jean (Darrell) Miller; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Hurd; 8 grandchildren, Jason (Barbie) Novacinski, Chad Pollak, Tyrel (Laura) Pollak, Rachel Novacinski, Shannon (Shannon) Koecher, Corey (Cindy Bedarik) Hurd and Lyle Hurd; 5 great grandchildren, Chelsea Novacinski, Desarae Beasley, Anja Koecher, Alexis Koecher and Dominic Vest; 2 sisters, Jean Finnelly and Mildred Bergfalk; 1 brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Bergfalk.
A gathering of family and friends was Wednesday, May 31, from 12 until the 1 PM Memorial Service in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Private inurnment was in Riverside Cemetery, Barnum. Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
