Ila B. Kimbro died young at age 22 on February 14, 1930 in Buford, Gwinnett County, Georgia. She was the daughter of John Franklin Kimbro (August 1882-March 1950) and Mary Nora Stancil Kimbro (1882-April 18, 1919). Ila's mother died when she was 11 or 12 years old and that may be why Ila wed when she was only 13.

Ila had nine siblings: Frank Austin Kimbro (1900-1976), Clyde Clarence Kimbro (1901-1953), Homer M. Kimbro (1905-1990), Millinder Price Kimbro (1911-1998), Sarah Myrtle Kimbro (1915-?), Willie Pearl Kimbro (1922-1997), John Franklin Kimbro Jr. (1923-1972), and Emma Kimbro (1926 - ?); and a half-brother Billy Ray Kimbro (1924-2007) when her father remarried.

Ila married Charles Henry Overby on August 9, 1921 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was 15 years old. To this union they had three children: Evelyn Addie Overby (1925-1999), Homer Geneva Overby (1928-1933), and Charles David Overby (1930-2007).

Her last child, Charles David Overby was born on Feburary 10, 1930. Ila died 4 days later due to childbirth complications of purperal convulsions, now known as eclampsia.

She was a beloved mother and sister.

Antioch Church is on the north side of Braselton Highway 124 between E. Rock Quarry Road and Spout Springs Road. There is a cemetery with Duncans Creek on the corner of E. Rock Quarry and Braselton Highway. There is a cemetery beside Antioch and across the road from Antioch. There is probably confusion about memorials in these cemeteries. Address for Duncans Creek is 3868 Braselton Hwy. Buford, GA 30519-4209 and for Antioch is 3878 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA.
