WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Rebecca Pickett Doyle, 70, went to be with her Lord on December 22, 2008. She was born in Davidson County to the late Frank Hugh and Mary Rebecca Robertson Pickett. She was a life long member of Fraternity Church of the Brethren and played the organ for more than half of her life. Mrs. Doyle retired from Sara Lee Knitting with 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Doyle, and her sister Nina Sue Pickett. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Raines and husband Eddie of Pfafftown, and Melissa Reynolds and husband Steven of Boonville; three grandchildren, Elyse Raines, Kaylin Buffkin, and Keyona Reynolds; two sisters, Carolyn Pickett of Winston Salem and Frankye Wilson and husband Wayne of Sparta; a brother, David Pickett and wife Linda of West Jefferson; an adopted sister, Jackie Chambers of Atlanta, GA. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Fraternity Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dave Kindy officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
