Rev. Paul Edwin Mays, 87 1/2 years young passed away July 13th from a tragic fall. He was preceded in death (one month & 2 days) by his loving wife Loretta Mays of 68 years. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Paulette Ziebell (John) & Elaine Gehret (Dr. Rick); six grandchildren, Dennis Magruder (Leslie), Sean Beavor (Teresa), Jamie Beavor (Tiffany), Jennifer Diana (Mike), Liz Luman (Travis) & Rob Gehret; twelve great-grandchildren, Shayne & Max Beavor, Caetlin & Ainsley Beavor, Anna & Aaron Magruder, Michael, Nathan & A.J. Diana, & Daniel, Andrew, & Luke Luman; Nephew, Richard Mays; sister-in-law, Mae Anderson (Ed); brother-in-law, William J. Clifton (Mozel); brother-in-law, John McBride; and sister-in-law, Eloise Clifton, several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Paul was a true man of God, great man of Faith - He was a true example of how someone lives for Christ & walks the walk. He never judged anyone. He was a wonderful husband, father, etc. Together with his wife, they pastored a church Chapel of Faith; had a radio show for several years & a TV show for one year (Faith in Action). He was always a kind gentleman and would try to help everyone he was a wonderful piano player and loved playing hymns. His first love was the Lord & his wife. Funeral services for Paul Edwin Mays will be held 11AM Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the chapel at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL. A reception will immediately follow. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 5PM-7PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services for Paul Mays will be held 11AM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL. Flowers by Park Avenue Florist, Orange Park.
