DERBY - Geneva K. Near, 87, homemaker, of Derby, died July 9, 1999, in Derby.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Udall Cemetery. Dr. Don Snyder will officiate.

Near was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Mountain Hope, Mo., to George and Memory (Vanderpool) Anderson.
She married William Howard Near in Hugoton.
Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Near, Idaho, and Rodney R. Near, Wichita; a stepson, Billy D. Near, Kingman; a sister, Nellie, Liberal; and two grandchildren.
