Hope Gambill Williams, of Murrieta, California, passed away on early Wednesday, Nov 21, 2012, at Loma Linda Medical Center in Loma Linda, due to heart failure at the age of 75. Her brother Don Gambill, her son Roland B Williams Jr., her daughter Sharon Albano, and her granddaughters Lauren Albano and Rebecca Albano survive Hope. Other beloved family members include her nephews Tom and Ron Lewis, niece Paulette Lewis, nephew Anthony Gambill and son-in-law Lloyd Albano. Hope was a vivacious woman born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee who never lost her rich southern accent or love of her home region despite over fifty year residence in Southern California. Hope Gambill married her beloved husband Roland Williams on Dec 23, 1955 and soon after the young couple moved to California with their son Barry. Hope and Roland lived and raised Barry and Sharon in Bell Gardens, Downey, South Gate, and Hacienda Heights where they were surrounded by their extended family. This included Hope's mother Louise "Mimaw" Gambill, her sister Willadean Lewis' family, and some of Roland's six brothers from Arkansas. Hope worked for many years as the Office Manager for Key Distributors in Irwindale, CA. She and Roland moved to Hemet in 1990 to be close to her now deceased sister Willadean Lewis before moving to Murrieta in 1995 with Roland. Roland's passing in 2000 was cause for great sadness. Hope's greatest joy became her granddaughters Lauren and Rebecca now aged 14 and 13.

Hope was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness who regularly attended the Kingdom Hall on Washington Ave in Murrieta. She was a never ending source of energy, joy, and humor for her family, fellow Witnesses, and numerous friends. She was always the life of a party or gathering and loved to engage everyone she knew with jokes, opinions, and lively conversation. Hope was a constant source of encouragement, forgiveness, and kindnesses. Her family members marveled at the sheer number of people who knew and remembered her vividly, aside from her many close friends too numerous to list. Hope was generous to a fault, always insisting on treating for meals or gas or expenses. To watch her in action one could only marvel at the sheer force of nature that was Hope Williams.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening Nov 27, 2012, 5-8:00pm, Funeral Services Wed Nov 28, 2012, 11:00 am at the Washington Ave Kingdom Hall, and graveside services at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, CA.
