Mr. Julius Edward (Ed) Howell Jr., age 76, of Meansville, passed away July 14, 2013. He was born in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Julius Edward Howell Sr. and Clarice Wilcox Howell. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern Poly Tech, graduating with a degree in engineering. He was Senior Project Manager for Beers Construction Company in Atlanta, retiring as Vice President after 30 years of employment. He loved to travel, play golf, garden, and spend time with family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carolyn Reynolds Howell.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, July 19, from 6-9 p.m., at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 1 p.m., in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Swansea, SC. Moody-Daniel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
