Corwin was the youngest of three children born to Florence Mae (Bean) and Corwin Francis Bowen, Sr. He married (1) Alice Anna Joos and they had one daughter, Karen.
Later he married Geradine Edna Becher and they had thirteen children: Trinna Francis, Corwin III, Christopher Samuel, Reginald Timothy, Susan Janelle, Michele 'Mickey' Christina, Penelope Yvonne, Mark Laine, Rodney Gary, Robbin Denise, Gregory Curtis, Jeffrey Lynn and Douglas Guy.

A service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitehurst Lloyd Chapel, visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel and burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park for Corwin Francis Bowen Jr., 72, of South Lake, who died Monday. The Rev. Byron McKaig will officiate.

Born in Nebraska, and served during World War II doing work on the Flying Tigers.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Bowen; seven sons, Chris and Jeff Bowen, both of Dodge City, Kansas, Tim and Doug Bowen of Santa Clara, Corwin Bowen III of Cottage Grove, Ore., Rocky Bowen of Los Angeles, Mark Bowen of Eugene, Ore,. seven daughters, Sherry Fountain, Penny Salinas, and Robin Cardenas, all of Santa Clara, Susan Taylor of Reno, Trinna Dickerson of Cottage Grove, Ore., Karen Crismore of Antelope Valley and Mickey Salinas of Morgan Hill; a sister, Genevieve DePew of Visalia; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
