Mrs. Walsh was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had worked as a registered nurse since 1947. She was working for Memorial Medical Center of East Texas when it opened in 1949, and retired from there. Mrs. Walsh was a member of Lufkins First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James E. Walsh of Lufkin; sons, James E. Walsh, Jr. of Webster and Bob M. Walsh of Diboll; 2 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; and a number of great-grandchildren and other family members.
Services for Mrs. Walsh will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ty Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time at Gipson Funeral Home.
