East Prairie - Mayme Ann DeField, 95 years old, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Thursday at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro.
She was born Jul. 28, 1896, at East Prairie, the daughter of Allen Houston and Laura Bell Hill Mainord. She married Clyde DeField, who died in 1975.
She had taught at East Prairie R-2 Schools, and she and her husband owned and operated the Lyric Theatre here.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Eastern Star chapter in Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, LaRue Cunningham; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
