Florence May Brennan, daughter of Edward and Teresa Riney Brennan, was born in a farm near St. Patrick, Mo., November 4, 1874, and died in St. Mary Hospital in Quincy, Ill., February 2, 1941. While an infant she was baptized in the St. Patrick Catholic Church and remained a devoted member until her death. In 1901 she came with her parents to Canton, of which city she was a resident at the time of her death. Her father and mother having preceded her in death, she leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mary Ida Brennan, of Canton. For the past year she had been an invalid. On January 6, 1941, she was taken to the Quincy hospital for an operation from the effects of which she never recovered. She will be sadly missed by the devoted sister with whom she made her home and who gave every care and attention that loving hands and heart could give during the months of affliction. Funeral services were held at the St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, February 4, by the Rev. Father O'Duignan, with interment in the church cemetery beside the bodies of her father and mother.
