Lloyd Allen Brewer age 80 of Bonham, Texas formally of Commerce, Texas died peacefully at his home on Monday, July 15, 2013. He was born on May 24, 1933 in Lannius, Texas to Earl Thomas & Verna Gertrude Elliott Brewer. He married Elizabeth Ann Shepherd on June 16, 1962 in Greenville, Texas.
Mr. Brewer attended Boyd Baptist Church in Bonham and served in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Commerce Distributing Company for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Elizabeth Ann Brewer of Commerce, Texas, two sons Stanley Dwayne Brewer of Dallas, Texas and Kevin Todd Brewer of Sacramento, California, two brothers Joe Brewer of Benton, Arkansas, and Roy Dean of Pittsburgh, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Ross Brewer, Virginia Ruth Ballou, and Tom Brewer.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Brother Lyn Holly officiating.
Internment will follow at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie, Texas with Shawn Rencher, Robert Brewer, Charlie Norman, Jackie Arnold, Dave Arnold, and Ryan Evens serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will Gregg Brewer and Michael Bellou, with military honors will be provide by the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard.
