Margaret F. Blair, 79, of Sioux City died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at a Sioux City Hospital. She lived on an acreage at Texas Avenue in Sioux City, Iowa for 50 plus years. She loved animals and her property had deer, turkeys and other wild animals. She also had many dogs and cats. She was an excellent cook and always had the coffee pot on for company.

Mrs. Blair was born November 23, 1920, in Thurston, Nebraska, the daughter of Julius and Grace (Donaho) Brummond. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bancroft, Nebraska. She attended school in Bancroft. She had one brother, Jack Brummond. She was a resident of Sioux City since 1944. She married Leo Blair on January 15, 1975. He died January 20, 1998, in Sioux City. "Marge" was married 3 times, the first to Harold Herfel of Allen NE on January 14, 1939 in Union South Dakota. Her second marriage was to Leland O'Brien, who passed away from cancer. She later married Leo Blair who also passed away from cancer.

Survivors include a nephew, Bill Brummond of South Sioux City; and stepchildren, Wayne, Louise, Laura, Rita and Maralyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leland E. O'Brien; her second husband, Leo Blair; and a brother, Jack.

There was no visitation or services. Becker-Hunt funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. As per her request, her ashes were spread on her beloved property.
