George Dewey Redner, of Wildcat Road, Port Leyden, a former woodsman and employee of Ethan Allen Inc., Boonville Division, retiring in 1961, died Tuesday. Nov. 30. 1982. in Lewis County General Hospital. Lowville, where he had been
a patient since March.

Born on January 21, 1899, in Wanaque, N.J., he was the son of James and Elizabeth Conklin Redner. He married Bessie Hardy in New Jersey. She died in 1940. Mr. Redner was an Army veteran, serving in World War l. He moved to Port Leyden in 1935.

Surviving are a son, Robert Redner Sr. Port Leyden; two daughters,
Mrs. William (Marie) Visser, Pompton Lakes, N.J., and Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Aldrich, Hamburg, N.J.; a sister, Hilda Van Borus, Florida; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A son, James Redner. died in 1956. The funeral was held Friday at the Field-Callaghan Funeral Home, with burial in Port Leyden Cemetery.
