Terry Lynn Kent, Sr., a retired band director with the Iberville Parish school system, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 54 and a resident and native of Port Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Collins-Kent; mother, Mrs. Evelyn Kent; daughter, Ms. Terrel Kent of Baton Rouge; two sons, Terry Kent Jr. and Jerrell Kent, both of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Ms. Doris Kent of Chicago, and Mrs. Joyce Smith and Ms. Sandra Moten, both of Port Allen; and uncle and aunt, the Rev. Charles and Deloris Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Kent Jr.; maternal grandparents, Willie and Elnora Morgan; and paternal grandparents, Willie and Carrie Kent Sr.
