Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006, at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with Minister Michael Muhammad officiating.
Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors included his mother, Lawanda Wright-Jackson of Cedar Rapids; father, Tommy of Chicago; fiancée Lakila Veasey of Cedar Rapids; stepdaughter, Sarah Veasey of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Morris Jackson and Timothy Posley, both of Cedar Rapids; six sisters, Kahyla Posley of MN, Nicole Posley of Kankakee, IL, Toniea Robertson of Chicago, Tangela Robertson of Cedar Rapids, Tishana McDade of Cedar Rapids and Delphine Posley of MN.
Also surviving are his grandparents, Verna Jackson of Kankakee, IL, Lee Andrew Posley of Chicago and Frank Barron of Kankakee, IL; great uncle, Aaron Levy Jackson of Cedar Rapids; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Posley, Jr.; and grandmothers, Ethel and Zettie.
A memorial fund was established in his memory.
