Mr. Cox was born April 11, 1964, in Danville, a son of Bobby and Judy Ellis Cox Sr. He married Brenda Linder Mann on Jan. 1, 2005, in Potomac. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Potomac; a daughter, Bridget Cox of Bismarck; two stepsons, Brandon Mann and Steven Mann, both of Potomac; a sister, Lisa Judy of Potomac; and a brother, Bobby E. Cox Jr. of Mahomet.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Mr. Cox graduated from Potomac High School in 1982. He was employed by Bell Sports in Rantoul.
He attended the Potomac Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer driver for the Middlefork Ambulance Service for the last 10 years. He also served 13 years on the Bluegrass Fire Department.
He was a NASCAR fan and took great pride in the yardwork he had done for several citizens of Potomac.
