Motion Picture Director. He directed 61 films from 1917 to 1946. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and began his career in motion pictures as a screenwriter in 1916, and advanced to the position of a director of two-reelers. He directed actress Madeleine Carroll in several films including Honeymoon in Bali (1939). He was married to actress America Chedister.
