Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Jack (Esther R. )Allgier, 79, former Aberdeen resident. Mrs. Allgier died Thursday at Torrence, California where she had been residing. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Torrence.
Esther Carlson was born July 8, 1896 in Capron, Illinois. She was married to Jack Allgier and they made their home in Aberdeen where he was employed as a conductor for the Milwaukee Road. They resided in Aberdeen until 1958 when they moved to California.
Survivors include one son; one daughter; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clara Carlson of Aberdeen; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
