Clifford H. Roberts, 65, of South Charleston, died Jan. 29, 1993, at home. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Union Carbide and a member of Machinists Local 598. He was a member of Dunbar Lodge 159 AF&AM, Beni Kedem Shrine, and Scottish Rite. He was a World War II veteran and a member of South Charleston Volunteer Fire Department Surviving: sons, C. Michael of St. Albans, Randy G. of South Charleston, Rex E. at home; daughter, Sheila K. Smith of South Charleston; stepdaughter, Wilda Scaggs of St. Louis; stepson, Calvin Stover of Greenup, Ky.; sisters, Arvilla Loomis of San Diego, Arbutis Shaffer of Norfolk, Va., Ella Lanham of St. Albans, Alberta Wease of Scott Depot; brother, Kenneth of Tornado; 10 grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Casdorph-Curry Funeral, St. Albans, with the Rev. David Bragg officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with Masonic graveside rites by Dunbar Masonic Lodge. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
