I believe this is the grave of David Hickman Legg (1839-27 Jul 1864), son of John Gover Legg and Susannah Halbert. He was born in Limestone Co. and was the youngest of their four children. He and his brother, William Hopkins "Hop" Legg were both killed in the same battle on the same day. Their uncle, Andrew Coffman Legg, had their bodies brought home as their father was living in Texas and their mother had died in 1841.
I can't explain the "L" on the tombstone. In the Legg family an "L" is usually "Lovell". FAG Contributor #48646689)
