Stephen was probably born about 1628, probably in England. He testified in court in 1672 that he was 44 years old. If he was born in England, he came to Watertown, Massachusetts around 1640, with his parents. He was the son of John Randall and the widow Elizabeth Randall, nee Brown, who died in Watertown on 24 Dec 1672, at age 80. Stephen married, on 14 Dec 1653, Susanna Barron, daughter of Ellis Barron and his first wife, Grace. Susanna may have been born in Waterford, Ireland, about 1630. Stephen and Susanna had three daughters, who were all mentioned in Stephen's will, dated Januart 13, 1697/8, and a son, who must have died before 1698. Stephen died on February 26, 1707/8 in Watertown, and is buried in the Old Burying Place in Watertown. Susanna died on May 14, 1673 and is also buried at the Old Burying Place.
