Tommy was the son of the late William Frank and Sarah Graham Sutherland.
He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 70 years. Mr. Sutherland was a World War II Army Veteran and was a contract logger for Georgia Pacific, Canal Wood and Squires Timber Company.
He was predeceased by one son, William Frank Sutherland, two brothers, Joe Sutherland and Guy Sutherland, two sisters, Ruth Sutherland Graham and Viola Phillips, one daughter-in-law, Sandie Sweat Sutherland, and two brothers-in-law, Tom Hasell and Tom Eckersley.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Eva F. Sutherland of Conway, one son, Tom H. Sutherland, Jr. and his wife, Annette of Conway, two grandchildren, Courtney Sutherland Moore and her husband, Darrin and Tom H. "Trey" Sutherland, III and his wife, Brandy, four great-grandchildren, Gavin Moore, Colin Moore, Isabella Sutherland and Madison Smart all of Conway , two sisters, Betty Sutherland Eckersley of Conway and Mary Hasell of New Bern, NC.
