Jack Dillon, Sr, age 82, of Marshall, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in his sleep surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by several brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack had worked in a number of jobs throughout his life including truck driving for over 40 years, but the moments that he most loved and was the most proud of were his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. That tour of duty defined who he was and how he lived – I AM a soldier, I WAS a soldier, I shall ALWAYS be a soldier. The family has asked that no flowers be sent and that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in his name (including the "Sr." due to having a son by the same name). Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12th at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend, please gather in the cortege assembly area prior to the service. www.henryfuneralhome.org
