"Henry S. (Hank) Nelson, 79, 3237 Jackson street, died this morning at a St Joseph hospital. He was a retired salesman for the St Joseph Light & Power Co., having worked for the company 25 years. He belonged to the First English Lutheran church.
Mr. Nelson's lodge affiliations included Charity Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Mitchell Chapter, R.A.M., and Hugh de Payens Commandery. Last year he received a 50-year membership pin from Moila Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dixie Nelson; three brothers, Newton P., and Orion Nelson, both of St Joseph, and Harry A. Nelson of Miami, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He and his wife raised one niece, Mrs. Ernestine Swails." St Joseph News-Press, October 2, 1962
