Dixie Comer Snider, 90, widow of John T. Snider, Sr., died Thursday, Nov. 10, 1988, in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Snider.
She is survived by three daughters, Hilda Weatherly of Bristol, Gloria Adamson of Baltimore, Md., and Jean Parks of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one son, John T. Snider, Jr. of Marion; one sister, Wilma Smiley of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Harry Howes officiating. Burial followed in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Seaver-Brown Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
