MORSE, Michael B. of Bay City, Michigan passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at home, surrounded by family at the age of 68. Son of Bernard and Alta (Mosher) Morse, Michael was born August 6, 1943 in Bay City. He married the former Carol Sue Yax; she preceded him in death December 18, 2004. Michael was employed as a fabricator with Valley Welding for 34 years, and with Bay Cast for 4 years prior to his retirement. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching U of M and Lions football, and also enjoyed bird watching; Michael will be dearly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Michael (Kelly) Morse of Perry, Steven (Vicky) Morse of Roscommon, and Jacqueline (Edd) Drzewicki of Bay City; his grandchildren: Amber, Madison, Spencer, Emma, Emily, Josh, Brock, and Brandon; his mother Alta Morse; his brother Terry (Bev) Morse; his sister Sandy (Art) Beffrey; many nieces and nephews including niece Rhondi Beffrey; and his friend Ginger Drzewicki. Michael was preceded in death by his wife Carol; his daughter Sherri; his father Bernard, and his brother Gary. It was Michael's wish to be cremated. A private family memorial will be held at the Stapish Cederberg Funeral Home East with Edd Drzewicki officiating. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Bay County.
