Albert A. "Jack" Kennell, 96, of Wellersburg, Pa., died Friday, Nov. 22, 1991 at Frostburg Community Hospital, Frostburg, Md. He was born June 29, 1895, in Southampton Township, Somerset County, a son of the late William B. and Effie L. (Lepley) Kennell. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cloe A. (Troutman) Kennell; his second wife, Josephine R. (Kerr) Kennell; six brothers and five sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, Edna E. (Gomer) Kennell; three sons: Ray W. Kennell of Hyndman RD 1, A. Kerr Kennell of Wellersburg, and James A. Kennell, at home; three daughters: Dolly C. Bishop of Arlington, Va.; Alice L. Booth of Frostburg RD 4; and Linda L. Kennell, at home; and by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Kennell was a retired, self-employed coal miner and carpenter. He served in France with the U. S. Army during World War I, and was wounded in action. He attended Calvary Bible Church of Ellerslie, Md. He was a life member of Bedford American Legion Post 113 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 245, Cumberland, Md. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. Burial in Cook Cemetery near Wellersburg. Graveside military honors by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard and Hyndman VFW Oscar Jordan Post No. 7375.
