CHERYL J. BENNETT, age 67. Beloved wife of Steven; dear mother of Mark, Christopher, Aldryck and Jeremy; loving grandmother of Fiona, Allyson, Shelby, Aidan, Annalise and Matthew; sister of the late James and Roger Rantanen.

A 1966 graduate of the University of Michigan, Cheryl found her professional calling in technical writing. She served on the Spiritual Development Commission at Gesu and was a lector at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Decatur, IL. An avid mystery reader, she enjoyed Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.

Cheryl was a loving caregiver for all of her sons, but especially for the son who had liver problems from birth. She will be remembered for her quiet loving ways by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass Monday, 10:30am at the Church of the Gesu, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Heights.

Interment Lake View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 3-7pm at MAHER-MELBOURNE FUNERAL HOME, 4274 MAYFIELD RD. (at Belvoir Blvd.), South Euclid (216) 382-4500.
