Biography
Funeral services for Thomas "Tom" Roberson, 47, of Cookeville will be held Tuesday, July 16 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Mill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday 5 pm to 8 pm and again Tuesday 1 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Tom went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville surrounded by family.
He was born February 6, 1966 in New Orleans, LA to Howard and Judy Roberson of Cookeville, TN.
Tom grew up in Alaska, but moved to Cookeville in 1986. Tom and his twin brother, Tim worked at Maggart Tires for many years and was known as the Maggart Tire Twins.
In addition to his parents, Tom is survived by his son, Shelby Lee Roberson; his twin brother Tim Roberson, his other brother and wife, Butch and Laurie Roberson of LaCenter, WA and a nephew, Tyler Roberson.
Tom was preceded in death by a brother, David Charles Roberson; and his grandparents, Bro. and Mrs. Henry Roberson of Cookeville and Paul and Mary Perry of Anahuac, TX.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Caney Fork Baptist Church building fund, 2404 Highway 70 East, Cookeville, TN 38501.
