Roger Lawrence Campbell, 82, of Peshtigo, WI passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, just shy of his birthday; after a brief illness at Rennes East of Peshtigo, WI. Roger was born on May 11, 1939, the eldest of seven children, to Lawrence and Dorothy Campbell, and he lived his childhood on the family farm in the Town of Stephenson, WI.

After graduating Crivitz High School in 1957, he attended the University of Wisconsin's agricultural short course.

In 1962, he was inducted into the United States Army during peacetime, serving at Fort Knox and Fort Campbell before being honorably discharged.

He moved to Green Bay, WI and found a job at Fort Howard Paper Company, the beginning of decades of work in the paper industry both there and at Badger Paper Mill in Peshtigo, WI.

On May 6, 1967, Roger married Lana Risner, and they lived as husband and wife until Lana's passing in 2015.

In 1972, they had their first son, Craig, and, later that year, moved to Peshtigo, WI, where Roger and Lana lived the rest of their lives. Two more sons arrived in later years, Clark in 1977, and Curt in 1980.

Roger was a lifelong Packer fan, could share stories of attending games during the team's 1960's heyday, and would gladly tell you every mistake the Packer organization made over the course of the decades since. He still watched and rooted for them week by week.

In 2006, he finally got to be a grandfather, with the arrival of his granddaughter Calysta, whom he loved and cherished. His silly sense of humor will be missed by all who love him.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Lana, in 2015;

by his parents: Lawrence and Dorothy Campbell, in 2002,

and by one sister, Betty Campbell, in 2003.

He is survived by five siblings: John (Linda), Ken (Diane), Dorothy Campbell, Edith (Ken) Schnitker, and Letha ( Ed) Carriveau;

his three sons: Craig, Clark, and Curt;

his grand-daughter Calysta;

nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Monday, May 16th from 10 AM to 11 AM with funeral services at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
