Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery with Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be today from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at St. Luke's Midland Regional Medical Center.
Eleanor Anna Angerhofer was born July 30, 1090, to Rudolph and Anna (Parsch) Angerhofer in Highland Township, near Aberdeen. This is where she attended rural school. She then worked on the family farm.
She married Ervin Percy Bruse on Oct. 8, 1930, in Highland Township. They made their home and farmed in Highland Township. They moved to the Ipswich and Warner areas, where they owned and operated service stations. The family moved to Long Beach, Calif., in 1941, where she worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company. They returned to Aberdeen in 1945, where they became part owners in the Village Bowl for many years. They retired in 1976-1977, and continued to live in Aberdeen. He died Nov. 19, 1986, and she continued to live in Aberdeen.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church at Highland Township, Aberdeen Senior Citizens and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Survivors include one son, Donn R. Bruse of Whitter, N.C.; one sister, Olga Brick of Aberdeen; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one infant daughter, four brothers and one sister.
Casketbearers will be Norman Brick, Lloyd Brick, Boyd Bruse, Joe Hansen, Rueben Angerhofer and Dean Karlen.
The family prefers memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Township, 13986 379th Ave., Aberdeen, S.D. 57401.
