Shirley A. Clemens-Burkhammer, 76, Altoona, died Thursday evening.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edward and Beulah (Umholtz) Pekar.

She was previously married to Harry Clemens.

Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Howard L. Burkhammer; a son, Edward Clemens; two stepdaughters: Cindy Greenstreet and Cara Broadman; two stepsons: John and Mark Burkhammer; three grandsons: Eddie, Chris and Nick Clemens; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Luciano and husband, Ralph, and Sheryl Black; and a brother, Ed Pekar and wife, Dee.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Harry Clemens; and a brother-in-law, Herb Black.

Shirley was of member of Abundant Life Family of God Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling.

Friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. today, July 6, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. by Pastor Walt Smith. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
