Forrest City Daily Times-Herald-Forrest City, Arkansas 1939 July 29-Services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the National FH in Memphis for William Joseph (Willie) Cobb, former traveling salesman and a brother of Mrs. Pearl Hamblin of this city. Mr. Cobb, a native of Memphis, died at the John Gaston Hosp. there Friday morning, July 28,1939, of a throat infection. He had been in ill health nearly four months, suffering from a nervous disorder. He was the son ot Mrs. Lottie Homer Fields Cobb Slankard of Memphis and the late George Cobb of New Albany, Miss. He was the stepson of Frank Slankard. He attended St. Paul School and once lived at New Albany. He was a member of the New Albany Methodist Church. Besides his mother, step-father, and sister, he leaves five brothers, all of Memphis and another sister, Mrs. J. W. Scott of Memphis.
