Andrew V. Anthony, 78, of Endicott, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital Thursday, April 26, 2012 surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Mary Anthony; his sister, Juliana Jacobson; his brother and sister-in-law Dr. Paul and Patricia Anthony; and his brother George Anthony.

He is survived by his wife Sharon (Dobrovolsky) Anthony, Endicott; four daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Anthony and Frank Paxhia, Salt Point, NY, Marcy and Joe Salva, Conklin, NY, Terese and Timothy Holmes, Cicero, NY and Andrea and Daniel Porubiansky, Atlanta, GA; a son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Kathaline Anthony, Endwell; his grandchildren, Andy Anthony, Maria Salva, Stefanie Holmes, John Salva, Kate Anthony, Lori Holmes, Monica Salva, Jeff, Sabrina, Mike and Danielle Porubiansky; a sister and brother-in-law Sophie and Robert Gosney, Binghamton; a sister-in-law, Terese Anthony; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Andy was a very active member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, a retired IBM Corp. employee, and member of its Quarter Century Club. He was a veteran of the US Army and former Village of Endicott Trustee. He was beloved by all and will be sincerely missed.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.

The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Monday from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mother Theresa's Cupboard, c/o St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
