Lynette M. Brown, age 91, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away July 11, 2013. She was born January 16, 1922, in Mt. View, Oklahoma, to Clarence Frank & Marietta (Big Tree) Haag. Lynette played basketball in High School, and their team won the State Championship. She loved sports and was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboy fan. Lynette enjoyed making crafts, camping, fishing and traveling. She was a big lobbyist for the Native American Tribes. Lynette was very active person and enjoyed working with the Senior Citizens. She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda DeCarlo & husband, Raymond, Frances Cady & husband, Stewart, Marie Brandy and Ilene McCain; 1 son, Otis Brown & wife, Lisa; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; son, Connie Haag; and daughter, Lena Brown. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Angie Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, 400 SW 31st, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.
