Howard, Amy Jo Croft, 50, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Liza's Place, Wheeling. She was born July 10, 1963 in Washington, PA the daughter of Jim E. and Hilda Joanne Janovich Croft of Wheeling. Amy was a school teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic School, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and Wheeling Catholic School. She was an AFLAC Agent, a cross-country coach and a sales employee for the Word FM Christian Radio Sation in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wheeling where she was a Sunday School teacher. She graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1981 and from West Liberty University. She at one time was the youth director for the Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church and for the First Presbyterian Church. Faith was very important to Amy. She loved to pray with her athletics, was an awesome witness, and was known as a pray warrior. She had a heart of gold and was known for having a generous heart. She truly loved being around her family especially her children and other children and loved making homemade bread and muffins. Amy never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Michael E. Howard; six children, Christopher J. Howard, Andrew M. Howard, Sarah C. Howard, Jonathan E. Howard, Elizabeth J. Howard and Abigail C. Howard; two brothers, Timothy J. Croft and his wife, Christina of Detroit, MI and David R. Croft and his wife, Jennifer of Wheeling, WV; two brothers-in-law, Phil Howard of Wheeling and Steve Howard of Atlanta, GA; her father-in-law, Edward L. Howard of Wheeling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling (304-232-2732) and then on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church, 905 National Road, Wheeling. Interment in Prall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1470 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003, Corpus Christi Catholic School, 1512 Warwood Ave, Wheeling, WV 26003 or the Wheeling Central High School, 75-14th St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
