Obituary from the Riverside Daily Press, Riverside, CA, 15 Oct 1928:

Mrs. Annice B. Tibbetts, who was a resident of Riverside for several years, making her home with her son, L. B. Tibbetts, treasurer of the Riverside Mortgage Company, died on Sunday at Pasadena where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. H. Edward Mills.
Mrs. Tibbetts, who was in her 89th year, had been ill but four days. She was a lineal descendant of William Brewster, one of the Mayflower passengers, and was a native of Ohio, where she was one of President Garfield's students at Hiram College. She was a graduate of Oberlin College, and was a member of the Ladies' Library Society of that college, the first organization of its kind in the country, and maintained her membership for nearly 70 years.
Mrs. Tibbetts was one of the pioneers of Northeastern Kansas, leaving Oberlin at the close of the Civil War with her husband to take the principalship of Wetmore Institute, Irving, Kansas. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Riverside.
Funeral services will be held at Pasadena this afternoon, following which Mr. Tibbetts will accompany the remains to Blue Rapids, Kansas for interment.

After Wetmore Institute burned down they moved to Blue Rapids where Charles was the founding editor of the Blue Rapids Times.
