Margaret was united in marriage to Harold Hanson and to this marriage were born two sons, Horace (Sonny) and Allen. In 1937, Harold passed away. On July 3, 1945, Margaret was united in marriage to Gordon R. Aas at the parsonage near Alpha. This marriage was blessed with two children, Gordon and Audrey. For many years, Margaret and Gordon farmed in Jackson County and raised their family. Besides raising her family and helping on the farm, Margaret also worked at the Cottonwood County Citizen newspaper in Windom. In 1969, they moved into Windom. On October 7, 1998, Gordon passed away. After his death, Margaret remained in her own home until she became a resident of the Mt. Lake Good Samaritan Village in Mt. Lake. On January 22, 2002, Margaret moved to the Sogge Good Samaritan Society in Windom where she remained as a resident until passing away in the early morning hours of December 22, 2007, at the age of 95 years, 11 months and 9 days.
