Pauline Norris, age 74, of Haleyville, entered into rest on June 1, 2011.
She was born on April 14, 1937, in Haleyville. Ms. Norris enjoyed gardening, painting, and flowers. She went by her nick-name "Polly Voo Brown Swagart," or "Mrs. Polly."
She is survived by her son, Anthony Wayne (Denise Jones) Jackson; daughters, Rosa Mills, Shelia Kay Mobley, and Jackie Burrage. She was "Maw-Maw" to nine grandchildren, Shavelia Bates, Shane Bates, Shannon Venable, Bradley Wall, Timothy "Bo" Wall, Anthony "Buster"Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Harley Jackson, and Rhonda Burrage. Thirteen great-grandchildren, Megan McGough, Robin Bates, Skylar Bates, Jessie Venable, Eli Venable, Jessica Hamby, Seirra Marshall, Timothy Wall, Kaylie Wall, Kylan Wall, Zach Engle, Acura Jackson, Bryant Jackson. Great-great-grandchildren Adain Hamby and arriving soon Joshlynn McGough; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Genever Woodruff; brothers, Buddy Earl Cleveland Woodruff and Early Lee Woodruff; and sisters, Earline Sargent and Pearline Williams.
