Elsene Trinidad Carothers, 70, of San Luis Obispo died Monday, Feb.1, 1988, in a San Luis Obispo hospital
Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Old Mission Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Nisbet will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Reis Chapel in San Luis Obispo.
Mrs. Carothers was born Aug. 5, 1917, in San Luis Obispo, to California pioneers, Frank and Ramona Romero. She was also raised and educated in San Luis Obispo, attending Banning School. She was a waitress for 25 years, working for Scotty's Café and the Motel Inn. She attended the Old Mission Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Stanley W. Johnson and Larry Carothers, both of San Luis Obispo; two daughters, Patricia Willis of San Luis Obispo and Sharon Garcia of San Jose; four sisters, Nadine Silva of Arroyo Grande, Darlene Androlli of San Luis Obispo, Irene Sweeney of San Diego and Roberta Keirce of Santa Maria; and two brothers, Louis Romero of Morro Bay and Robert Romero of Hayward.
