Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He drove a tank during the Battle of the Bulge. He went on to work for Fisher Body, retiring after 31 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce; son, Tom (Joyce) Harmon; stepdaughters, Kim (Mark) Tabor and Sharon Crowell; 4 grandchildren and 4 stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild; brother, John (Bev) Harmon; sister, Lola (Fred) Harmon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; daughter, Carlotta Ott; and son, Dwight Harmon.
The funeral service was held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with Pastor Tom D. Harmon officiating. Interment, with military honors, followed.
