Funeral services were held for Virginia Hardy Cochran, 96, of Lucedale on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Interment followed in Crossroad United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harrell Moore and Mr. Bill Wilkerson officiating the services.

Retired from the George County School System and a member of Crossroads United Methodist church, she died September 8.

She is survived by her daughters Lenora (Billy) Bates and Audrey C. Eubanks, both of Lucedale; sons Julian (Billie) Cochran and Lester (Johnese) Cochran, both of Lucedale; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and special friends Cathy Hite, Lorraine Perkins and Teresa Herring.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey "Bob" Cochran, son Aubrey Cochran, granddaughter, three daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, parents P. D. and Cordelia (Worsham) Hardy and siblings.

Pallbearers included Wesley Cochran, Donell Loper, Don Martin, Chad Sullivan, K. C. Sullivan and Shea Sullivan.
