TREMONTON- Byron Clive Anderson, 58, passed away peacefully at his home in Tremonton, Wednesday, September 14, 1994, after a valiant four year battle with cancer.

He was born July 3, 1936, in Bear River City to Ernest N. and Ivy Mathias Anderson, the youngest in a family of six children.

He attended grad school in River City and was a graduate of Bear River High School. In high school he was active in sports and music. He sang in the glee club, Acappella Choir and toured with the choir in San Diego, Calif., Chicago, Ill., to the National Music Educators Conventions. He lettered in football, basket- ball, baseball, and track, and his senior year was the co-recipient of the Outstanding Athlete award of Bear River High School, along with his close friend DeVere Anderson.

He attended Weber College on an athletic scholarship where he participated in football, baseball, and track. He then attended Utah State Univerity graduating in 1959 with a degree in Industrial Technology.

He married Marian Carter on Jan. 4, 1916. They lived in Garland for 25 years and raised four sons. They were divorced in April 1982.

He married Patricia Nawrocki on May 15, 1982, in Cocoa Beach, Florida; the marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple, June 17, 7994. They moved to Tremonton where they enjoyed each other's companionship and the association with many dear friends until the time of his death.

After graduation from Utah State University, he accepted employment with Boeing Airplane Company in Seattle, Washington where he worked for eight months. He accepted a job offer from Thiokol Chemical Corporation in October 1959 and worked there for thirty-five years. He progressed steadily in the organization receiving and completing many challenging assignments. He enjoyed his work and was a loyal and dedicated employee.

He was active in the community and donated his time and talents to many worthy causes. He was active in the Cub Scout programs; he served on the Skyway Golf and Country Club Board of Directors and as Club President. He was co-founder of the Bear River Valley Little League Football Program. He was a member of the "B" Battery 204th Field Artillery Battalion of the Utah National Guard for 12 years.

He was a High Priest in the Tremonton Sixth Ward. where he was serving as a Home Teacher. In the past he had served in the presidency of the Young Mens Mutual Improvement Assn, Sunday School Presidency, and First counselor in the Garland Third Ward Bishopric.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia of Tremonton; four sons, Gregory Brent Anderson, Ogden; Blair Carter Anderson and wife Tamara, Logan; Scott E. Anderson and wife Kay, Bear River City; Shawn Mitchell Anderson and wife Nancy, Tremonton; two step-children, Gary Nawrocki, DDS, and Barbara, Cocoa Beach, Florida; Karen Senescal, CPA, San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren, seven step- grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest Ardell (Jiggs) and Lila Jean Anderson, Centerville; Donald Ray and Marian Anderson, Brigham City; Robert Neil and Reva Anderson, Perry; two sisters, DeNece and Don Barker, Willard; Jean and Max Facer, Minidoka, Ida.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 17, in the Tremonton Stake Center, with Bishop James Anderson officiating. Funeral arrangements were with Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home.

Interment in the Bear River City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to IHC Hospice or University Medical Center Hematology/Oncology.
