Pamela Jean (Porter) Perkins, 60, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born on June 28, 1953, in West Virginia, she is the daughter of James A. Porter, Jr. of Boonsboro, and the late Janice Dolores (Grubb) Porter.

Pam was a 1971 graduate from Boonsboro High School.

She had worked as the Manager of the Hallmark Stores at the Frederick Towne Mall and also at the Hagerstown Valley Mall.

Pam worked as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two sisters, Teresa L. Ensor of Fryeburg, Maine, and Constance E. Butts and husband Ricky of Knoxville, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog Oreo, who now resides in a new loving home.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road in Rohrersville. Rev. Wendell G. McClellan will officiate. Final resting place Ceremonies will be held privately by the family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Michael Porter.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
