Charles W. Alexander, 76, of Charles W. Alexander, 76, of Renton, WA and formerly of Martinsville passed away on Wednesday July 3rd at his home. He was born on July 14, 1936 in Martinsville to the late Theodore Decatur and Estelle Tarrant Alexander. He attended Martinsville public schools and the School for the Deaf in Staunton, VA. Mr. Alexander worked at the Martinsville Bulletin and Bassett-Walker Knitting, retiring in 2002 when he relocated to the Seattle area. He was member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church and the Martinsville Deaf Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Harrison
Alexander, and sisters, Katherine Alexander Draper and Juanita Alexander Harris.

Surviving are two sons Charles (Chuck) W Alexander Jr., and Jeffrey M. Alexander of the Seattle area and his twin sisters, Grace Alexander Elkins of Charlotte, NC and Dorothy Alexander Call of High Point, NC.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
